Book Printing Services - Paper Finish
Dec 28,2017 SESE
SeSe offers various types and styles of paper finish. Paper finishes are applied after printing, and are usually only applied to a project’s cover. Finishes each have a type (e.g. varnish or lamination) and a style (e.g. gloss or matte).
Varnish:
Varnish is a kind of liquid used by the printer to seal and protect the printing ink on the surface of the printing press. It is shiny and matte and UV, commonly used with coating bottom paper. Varnish is meaningful for a horse riding product such as a comic book and a magazine. Note: UV paint is very easy to be damaged and easy to crack when used as a finish. For a high-gloss shine we recommend gloss lamination.
Lamination:
Laminating is a thin polypropylene film that is applied to the surface of the paper after a roller printing. It provides the ultimate protection and has luster and grind. Laminated gloss and texture is more obvious than that of varnish, gloss and matte lamination lamination is very shiny, very smooth. The perfect binding and case binding books should always be covered with the cover to prevent any damage to the printing surface during the binding process.
No Finish:
Not all items need to be completed. If your project is saddle shaped and doesn\'t cover a lot of ink, you can choose to skip the finishing part.
